Description
Cinque Terre honey is the product of an uncontaminated environment, where bees operate little disturbed by human activities, only taking shelter in the hive when strong sea winds sometimes make flight difficult. Produced in late May – early June, when the locust trees that have taken over the narrow valleys carved by streams spread their white flowering clusters, it is perhaps the most sought-after honey, which can remain liquid for a very long time due to the speed of very low crystallization.
Pairings: straw yellow in color, with a delicate scent of flowers and vanilla and a sweet taste with an imperceptibly bitter aftertaste, it goes well with Parmigiano Reggiano and Formaggi di Fossa, but it is perfect for sweetening milk, coffee and drinks in general.
